Scruman is a Chrome extension that functions as a comprehensive screenshot and image editor, designed for anyone who needs to quickly capture and annotate screen content. It integrates capture and editing into a single seamless workflow, eliminating the need for multiple tools or applications. The extension is particularly useful for professionals and casual users who frequently need to document, share, or illustrate information from their web browser.

In today's digital workflows, capturing and sharing information from a screen is a common task, but it often involves a disjointed process: taking a screenshot with one tool, opening it in an image editor, making annotations, and then saving or exporting. This fragmentation wastes time and complicates simple tasks. Scruman addresses this problem by providing an all-in-one solution directly within the Chrome browser, making the entire process from capture to final export fast and efficient.

Scruman offers three primary capture modes to suit different needs. The Visible Area mode captures exactly what is currently displayed on the screen. The Full Page mode captures an entire scrolling webpage, which is essential for documenting long articles or webpages. The Selected Area mode allows users to manually choose a custom rectangular area of the screen for precise control over what is captured, ensuring only the relevant information is included.

Once an image is captured, a robust set of editing tools becomes available. Users can draw freely with a brush tool or erase mistakes. They can add text annotations with custom fonts for clear explanations. The editor includes shapes like lines, arrows, rectangles, and ellipses for highlighting or diagramming. Additional utilities include a crop tool for trimming, a blur tool to hide sensitive information, and an eyedropper to pick colors directly from the image for consistent annotations.

The extension also provides transformation tools to adjust the captured image. Users can rotate the image left or right and flip it horizontally or vertically. A resize function is included, which can maintain the original aspect ratio to prevent distortion when changing the image dimensions, ensuring the final output looks professional and intentional.

For exporting the finished work, Scruman supports multiple formats to fit various use cases.
